<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable which can safely tear a sheath without damaging an optical fiber nor requiring tear strings or skills of workers. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical cable, a sheath 14 covers the periphery of an assembly core 12 which comprises a slot rod 15 accommodating a plurality of optical fibers and is wound by binder tape 13. The optical cable has a buffer layer 18 between the sheath 14 and the assembly core 12. Here, synthetic resin fibers can be used for the buffer layer 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
