<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that has a belt and a blade configured to come to contact with each other at a position of a separation tension roller for removing a patch image, and prevents the generation of resistance unevenness of the belt due to the contact with the blade when push-up means adjacent to the separation tension roller pushes up the surface of the belt to separate a recording material. <P>SOLUTION: When a patch image is conveyed to a transfer part, push-up means separates a recording material from a belt before the belt and a blade come to contact with each other for removing the patch image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
