[Problem] To provide an overheating detection unit capable of ensuring safety, and an oxygen-concentrating device; the overheating detection unit being capable of ensuring safety because if it is exposed to fire or an abnormally high temperature environment while a user is inhaling oxygen using the cannula, by being installed between an oxygen-concentrating device and the cannula, it is able to detect the high temperature environment reliably and cut off the supply of oxygen. [Solution] The overheating detection unit (300) is provided with a main body (302) having a connecting part (330) that connects to the oxygen outlet (15) and an oxygen outlet part (310) that is connected to a tube (23), and a case (301) that covers the main body (302). The main body (302) comprises a temperature sensor (453), which is disposed at the oxygen outlet part (310) and detects the temperature of the oxygen outlet part, and a closing mechanism (402), which, when the temperature sensor detects a temperature at or above a previously determined temperature, closes the pathway between the connecting part (330) and the oxygen outlet part (310) and cuts off the supply of oxygen.
