An electric cable provided with sintered insulation which is formed by at least an electric conductor coated with one or a plurality of layers of a first insulating tape which is helicoidally wound in an overlapped manner and in a first direction, and one or a plurality of a second insulating tape helicoidally wound over the layers of the first insulating tape in an overlapped manner and in an opposite direction; where the first and second insulating layers have a transversal section in a stepped manner which includes an upper wing and a lower wing in a parallel relationship and attached therebetween by a perpendicular section, in such a manner that the upper wing is located over the lower wing while the first and second insulating tapes are being helicoidally wound over the electric conductor, the same producing a smooth close surface finish insulation upon being sintered. The first insulating tape is based on polyamide and the second insulating tape on polytetrafluorethylene.
