<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system for performing scattering spectrometry and absorption spectrometry in a clinical diagnosis. <P>SOLUTION: The optical system according to the present invention includes: a light source for emitting parallel light being parallel to an optical axis in an optical path; a specimen holding unit including at least one specimen holding position; and an optical detector disposed on the optical path at the specimen holding position for measuring the light transmitted through the specimen. The optical system further includes an adjustable optical angle selector and, in a case where the scattering spectrometry is performed, the optical angle selector is adjusted so as to prevent the arrival of the light, which is transmitted through the specimen and is emitted from the optical axis at an angle larger than a prescribed value, onto the detector. In a case where the absorption spectrometry is performed, the optical angle selector is adjusted so as to allow the arrival of the light, which is transmitted through the specimen and is emitted from the optical axis at an angle smaller than the prescribed value, onto the detector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
