<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking device for automatic transmission which shortens work time for installation and processing and improves workability and productivity so that it can be commonly used for all other types of automatic transmissions by a configuration which need not support a sprag shaft by means of a housing protrusion in a converter housing. <P>SOLUTION: The parking device for automatic transmissions includes: a sprag shaft wherein one end of the sprag shaft is inserted in a shaft groove formed in a transmission housing and the another end of the sprag shaft is placed so as to protrude inside the transmission housing; a sprag wherein the end of the sprag is protruded through the sprag shaft and placed to rotate about the sprag shaft; a sprag bracket fixedly installed to the transmission housing and placed so as to cover the portion through which the sprag shaft penetrates in the sprag; and a sprag return spring wherein one end thereof is supported by the transmission housing, the another end thereof is supported by the sprag and placed so as to cover the portion of the sprag shaft which is protruded through the sprag bracket. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
