<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module that allows scattered components of reflected light from a mirror portion to be made hard to leak (crosstalk) to an adjacent channel. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical module, multiple core portions 17(A and B) of an internal waveguide 16 are disposed parallel in the inside of a groove 1a in a substrate 1, and the groove 1a is formed in a lateral width W which allows the multiple core portions 17(A and B) to be disposed in a fixed pitch P. Also, each of mirror portions 15 is formed so as to correspond to each of the core portions 17(A and B), each of light emitting elements 12a is mounted so as to correspond to each of the mirror portions 15, a cladding of the internal waveguide 16 is filled inside the groove 1a. Furthermore, a blocking portion 30 for blocking scattered components a of the light reflected from the mirror portions 15 so as not to leak to the core portion 17(A) or 17(B) having no corresponding thereto is formed inside the groove 1a in the vicinity of the mirror portions 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
