PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a power supply.

SOLUTION: A power supply evaluation apparatus 500 for evaluating a power supply 10a is provided. A current source 502 extracts step current Ip from an output node 11 of the power supply 10a or supplies the step current Ip to the output node 11 of the power supply 10a. A voltage measuring part 20 measures a waveform VDD(t) of a supply voltage generated by affecting the power supply 10a with the step current Ip. An analyzer 40 deduces a waveform IDD(t) of output current of the power supply 10a on the basis of the measured waveform VDD(t) of the supply voltage. The analyzer 40 further deduces an impulse response waveform IDDIR(t) of the output current by differentiating the deduced wavelength IDD(t) of the output current.
