<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platform weighing machine which surely protects a load detection mechanism from impulse under overloading. <P>SOLUTION: A platform weighing machine 10 includes a weighting tray 15 which is rectangular in a plane view, a pair of upper and lower skeletons 40a and 40b which are formed using prism pipes so as to become approximately the same shape as a whole, a load detection mechanism 20 interposed between the skeletons 40a and 40b, adjusting legs 14 which are fixed in four corners of the lower skeleton 40b, and stoppers 30 which are fixed in four corners of the upper skeleton 40a and protruded downward from a lower surface of the upper skeleton 40a so as to regulate sinking of the weighing tray 15 under overloading, thereby restricting downward move of the load detection mechanism 20. In the platform weighing machine 10, the stoppers 30 and the adjusting legs 14 are disposed on the same axis, During overloading, a lower end of the stopper 30 and an upper end of the adjusting leg 14 are abutted over an upper surface 43b of the lower skeleton 40b, thereby charging the adjusting leg 14 (installation surface) with a stress applied to the stopper 30.
