<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of suppressing the rise of the temperatures of a fixing roller and a pressure roller which forms a nip, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the fixing device which has a fixing roller, a pressure roller which forms a nip by coming into contact with the fixing roller, and a heater for heating the fixing roller, and fuses a toner image onto a recording medium while passing the recording medium with the toner image through the nip and conveying the recording medium, the fixing device has the plurality of the pressure rollers provided therein, and changes the pressure roller which forms the nip to another pressure roller which forms no nip before the temperature of the pressure roller which forms the nip reaches a temperature at which toner blister occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
