<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform reliable data transmission by preventing unnecessary communication which inevitably becomes an error from being performed to an alternative reception destination, thereby preventing the communication from being not received in the end. <P>SOLUTION: The facsimile apparatus comprises an input part and a communication part. The input part is for inputting conditions for facsimile communication. The communication part performs communication as follows. When performing conditional transmission that is facsimile transmission according to the conditions input to the input part, if a report of the address information of an alternative reception destination which performs alternative reception when a receiving-side apparatus that is the original transmission destination cannot receive the conditional transmission is received, conditional transmission to the alternative reception destination is performed.
