The device (10) has a retainer (16) for holding a stack (14) of components (12), where the components are moved perpendicular to a stacking direction from the retainer through an output aperture. A slide element (24) is provided for displacing the lowest component of the stack from the retainer through the output aperture into a removal position. A blank holder is provided for exerting the stack of the components in stacking direction by working force. The blank holder is blocked with the empty retainer by a movement of the slide element.
