PURPOSE: A chair type music appreciation device is provided to feel the music throughout a body of an appreciator because a string unit mounted in a chair is operated while playing the chordophones. CONSTITUTION: A chair type music appreciation device(1) comprises a chair(3), a signal converting unit(7), a control unit, a string unit(8), and a flexible cover(11). The signal converting unit arranged in the chair receives sound waves generated from the chordophones and filters, thereby converting only a frequency corresponding to the sound waves. The control unit connected to the signal converting unit circulates X and Y coordinates by using signals output from the signal converting unit and outputs control signals. The string unit is arranged in the chair and comprises a transferring member. The transferring member moves to a scale position of the string corresponding to the frequency through moving to X and Y axis directions along stirrings by the control signals of the control unit. The flexible cover elastically surrounds the outer surface of the string unit.
