<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thermochromic writing utensil capable of preventing a friction body from being stained upon writing and capable of forming stable handwriting at all times upon writing without damaging gripping property of the writing utensil even when the friction body is detached and is made to be a separate body. <P>SOLUTION: The thermochromic writing utensil 1 stores a thermochromic ink to be ejected from a pen point 3 inside the writing utensil, and is provided with the friction body 6 comprising an elastic material, in which a color of the handwriting is heat-changed with friction heat generated when rubbing the handwriting of the thermochromic ink, on an outer surface of an armoring of the writing utensil.
