<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device such as a variable focus liquid lens. <P>SOLUTION: An optical device includes a spacer frame 110, optical fluid, an elastic film 120, an actuator 130, an actuator frame 140, and a heat deformation plate 150. The spacer frame forms an internal space including a lens unit and a driving unit communicating with each other, and the driving unit is arranged so as to surround the lens unit positioned at the center of the internal space. The optical fluid is filled in the internal space formed by the spacer frame. On one outer face of the spacer frame, the elastic film is adhered so as to cover one open face of the internal space, and on the other outer face of the spacer frame, the heat deformation plate is adhered so as to cover the other open face of the interior surface.
