<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable communication characteristic for a portable communication device comprising both an IC card function and a R/W function, by enabling deviation of a resonant frequency received by a reception antenna to be easily adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: A portable communication device comprises a reception unit 10, a transmission unit 20, an adjustment signal generation unit 61, an adjustment signal detection unit 13, and a control circuit unit 7. The transmission unit 20 transmits an adjustment signal Sg3 for adjusting a received resonant frequency to the reception unit 10. The adjustment signal detection unit 13 detects a parameter including information about a transmission state of the adjustment signal Sg3 when transmitting the adjustment signal Sg3.
