<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam wavelength conversion device able to output light of desired wavelength in high light extraction efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam wavelength conversion device comprises: a semiconductor laser element for emitting a laser beam as basic wave light; a basic wave light reflection element formed from a volume Bragg grating (VBG) composing an external resonator with respect to the semiconductor laser element; and a wavelength conversion element disposed between the semiconductor laser element and the basic wave light reflection element, and forming wavelength conversion light by converting a part of the wavelengths of the basic wave light. The laser beam wavelength conversion device has a selective reflecting member configured such that of light emitted from the wavelength conversion element and traveling toward the basic wave light reflection element, the basic wave light is transmitted and the wavelength conversion light is reflected. Also, a dichroic mirror transmitting the basic wave light and reflecting and extracting the wavelength conversion light is arranged between the semiconductor laser element and the wavelength conversion element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
