<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle accelerator and a BNCT device which enable a longer life with a foil stripper. <P>SOLUTION: The cyclotron, which is a particle accelerator operable to accelerate a charged particle taken from an ion source, comprises: magnetic field generating means for generating a magnetic field in a predetermined direction in an accelerating space for accelerating an H<SP POS="POST">+</SP>particle; and a foil stripper 71 provided on an acceleration orbit A of the H<SP POS="POST">+</SP>particle, and operable to rip off an electron from an H<SP POS="POST">+</SP>particle crashed thereagainst.
