<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that increases the speed of monochromatic copy (single-color copy) in a color MFP and a monochromatic MFP having a color scanning function. <P>SOLUTION: When a monochromatic copy mode is carried out, a control part (100) sets a read mode in a scanner part (2) so that the scanner part (2) can read an image at high speed with a line sensor K alone, sets image processing for printing monochromatic image information sent from the scanner part (2) with a single black color in a printer part (3), to an image processing part (101), and sets a monochromatic print mode for printing a black image at high speed to the printer part (3) and controls monochromatic copy operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
