<p>The problem addressed by the invention is to provide a novel insecticidal compound by focusing on insecticidal activity contained in the flower of marigolds and to provide an insecticide having said compound as the active ingredient. The invention is the two insecticidal compounds having the chemical formulas shown and insecticides, which can exhibit insecticidal efficacy differing from existing pyrethroid insecticidal compounds by an order of magnitude and which have one or both of said insecticidal compounds as active ingredient.</p>
