PURPOSE: A food composition containing crude drug extract is provided to improve liver function and to relieve hangover with safety. CONSTITUTION: A composition for improving liver function and relieving hangover contains extract of Rhododendorn brachycarpum D. Don var. brachycarpum, Hovenia dul, barley leaf, acorn, Sasa borealis, Alnus japonica Steud., Aractylodis Rhizoma, Actinidia arguta, and wild walnut. The composition is used for preventing and treating hepatitis and liver cirrhosis.
