PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption as much as possible of a wireless communication device including a sensor attached to a device that is often driven by a battery.

SOLUTION: In packet communication whose transmission route is determined in advance, a wireless communication device configured to change its operation mode into a sleep mode after packet transmission transmits a packet, and another wireless communication device receiving the packet determines whether the packet is transmitted from a slave node or not, and generates a new packet from the received packet based on the determination result.
