<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission shaft which reduces the cost of surface processing for decreasing occurrences of stick-slip. <P>SOLUTION: A concave portion 13a is formed on the tooth surface of at least either a male spline 13 or a female spline 23. The power transmission shaft is arranged in the concave portion 13a so as to protrude/retract from the tooth surface, and has a protruding and retracting tooth member 30 which is supported in the state that an energizing force is applied toward the opening side of the concave portion 13a in the concave portion 13a. Diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating is performed on an outer surface 31 of the protruding and retracting tooth member 30 which is positioned in the opening side of the concave portion 13a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
