<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer heat between the anode and the rotary mechanism to which the anode is attached in order to perform thermal regulation of components within an X-ray tube. <P>SOLUTION: In one embodiment, an X-ray tube (10) is provided. The X-ray tube (10) generally includes a fixed shaft (64), a rotating bearing sleeve (62) disposed about the fixed shaft (64) and configured to rotate with respect to the fixed shaft (64) via a rotary bearing (60), and an electron beam target (20) disposed about the bearing sleeve (62) and configured to rotate with the bearing sleeve (62).
