<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing waste in cleaning a fixing part of an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises a fixing part for fixing an image formed on paper by an image forming part using a developer, a control part for controlling execution of a cleaning mode for cleaning the fixing part and a determining part for determining (Step S300) whether the paper is drawn out by either on the upstream side in the direction of conveying the paper or on the downstream side in the direction of conveying the paper after the conveyance of the paper on which the image is formed is stopped by error. When the determining part determines that the paper is drawn out on the upstream side in the direction of conveying the paper (Step S50: NO), the control part releases an alarm relating to error without promoting the execution of the cleaning mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
