<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique with which exhaustion of a battery that is a power source of an electronic display device can be suppressed by suppressing power consumption of the electronic display device. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic display system 100 comprises: a plurality of electronic display devices 1 which are driven by batteries and installed in movable bodies, respectively; and an information distribution device 10 which distributes information displayed by the plurality of electronic display devices 1. The information distribution device 10 transmits a beacon B in a predetermined transmission frequency Ts. On the other hand, each electronic display device 1 detects presence/absence of the beacon B in a predetermined detection cycle Tr. Each electronic display device 1 switches the operation mode of the own device between a usual mode in which the detection cycle Tr is the same as the transmission frequency Ts and a long sleep mode in which the detection cycle Tr is n times longer than the transmission frequency Ts (however, n is an integer of two or larger), according to an instruction from the information distribution device 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
