<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular keyless entry system having a plurality of portable units for improvement of response upon lock of a door. <P>SOLUTION: An on-vehicle device transmits different kinds of collation area identification information for each of collation areas through a plurality of antennas in accordance with an instruction to start a vehicle door lock control. A portable unit stores the collation area identification information in storage means, and transmits a response signal that contains portable unit identification information and the collation area identification information upon reception of a request signal from the on-vehicle device. The on-vehicle device collates a plurality of the portable units based on the portable unit identification information contained in the response signal, and determines positions of the plurality of portable units in reference to the collation area identification information contained in the response signal.
