<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that has favorable abrasion resistance, and does not generate image blurring even under high humidity conditions and exhibits high durability and high picture quality. <P>SOLUTION: In an electrophotographic photoreceptor obtained by successively laminating a photosensitive layer 2 and a protective layer 6 on a conductive support 1, the protective layer contains a polymerization product between a radical polymerizable compound and metal oxide fine particles 7 surface-treated with a surface treating agent.
