<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detaching tool for a grating, for efficiently attaching and detaching the grating configured to be fit in the opening step part of a concave groove of a drain ditch and the like, in which as the grating is raised in an almost horizontal state by means of the principle of a lever with casters as a supporting-point, so that the end face of the grating is not brought into contact with the inner wall of the opening step part of the concave groove when taking out the grating from the concave groove. <P>SOLUTION: A detaching tool for a grating G is provided with a main portion 2 having casters 5 on both sides of the rear part of an undersurface and a handlebar portion 3 for raising the front side of the main portion 2 with the casters as a supporting-point. The detaching tool has hooks 6 on the front side of the main portion, the hooks being locked to the grating G.
