<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor which simultaneously monitors a temperature of a coil of the electric motor and a temperature of cooling oil at low cost, and to provide a vehicle driving apparatus using the electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: An electric motor includes a core unit 103, a bus ring 105, and a support member 143. An attachment member 160, in which a first sensor 161 is held by a first holding part 160a, is fixed to part of a terminal housing part 106 with fixing parts 167, 168 so that the first sensor 161 is positioned at a first position where the first sensor 161 is soaked in oil and measures a temperature. Further, the attachment member 160, in which a second sensor 166 is held by a second holding part 160b, is fixed to the part of the terminal housing part 106 with the fixing parts 167, 168 so that the second sensor 166 is positioned at a second position where the second sensor 166 measures a temperature of a coil between adjacent terminal housing parts 106 which are not soaked in the oil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
