<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module. <P>SOLUTION: A battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a battery array with a battery cell as a unit, and a fixing member. The battery cell includes: a terminal surface where an electrode terminal and a vent are exposed; and a bottom face opposite to the terminal surface. In the battery array, at least two or more layers of a pair of the battery cells disposed horizontally such that the bottom faces of the battery cells face with each other are stacked. The fixing member fixes the battery array.
