RADIATION DETECTOR AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector where a phosphor layer hardly peels off a sensor substrate and which has excellent sensitivity characteristics.

SOLUTION: A radiation detector 10 includes: a sensor panel 5 where a number of picture elements 1 including photoelectric conversion elements which convert visible light into an electric signal are arranged along a surface direction on a substrate 2; and a thallium-activating cesium iodide phosphor layer 6 which is provided on the photoelectric conversion elements of the sensor panel 5 and converts a radiation into the visible light. A thallium concentration in a film thickness direction in the thallium-activating cesium iodide phosphor layer 6 becomes higher as approaching the side of the sensor panel 5.
