<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and efficient microwave antenna system in which costs and complexity are reduced without impairing operating efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The microwave antenna system has a plurality of linearly arranged antenna elements on an array having two separated ends in which phase shifters are commonly used. A first phase shifter is electrically connected to a first group of at least two adjacent antenna elements at one end of the array, and controls a signal phase in the first group. Similarly, a second phase shifter is electrically connected to a second group of at least two adjacent array elements at the other end of the array, and controls a signal phase in the second group. With respect to at least several central antenna elements between the first and second groups, the individual phase shifters are electrically connected to the individual central antenna elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
