<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating deterioration of a corrosion-protected wire capable of precisely evaluating the deterioration of the corrosion-protected wire regardless of the kind of grease in use. <P>SOLUTION: The reduced amount of the oil content of grease from an initial state is obtained by measuring the amount of the oil content of the grease coated on or filled in the corrosion-protected wire, and the deterioration of the corrosion-protected wire is evaluated based on the reduced amount thereof. Moreover, the existence of hydroxide of aluminum in the grease is detected by an infrared spectroscopy and the deterioration of the corrosion-protected wire may be evaluated together with the result while a deterioration state of a thickening agent contained in the grease is observed and the deterioration of the corrosion-protected wire may be evaluated together with the result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
