<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water jet cutting device capable of lengthening the service life of a catcher by restraining the local abrasion of the catcher. <P>SOLUTION: The water jet cutting device includes a nozzle and the catcher 3. The nozzle injects pressurized water into a cutting object. The catcher 3 includes a rotor 4 and a support member 5. The rotor 4 is formed in a cylindrical shape, and formed with a plurality of projections 41 in a substantially half area at the inflow port Fi side in its inner peripheral surface. The respective projections 41 receive water flows after cutting the cutting object W. The projections 41 convert forces of the water flows into torque around the axis of the rotor 4.
