<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that improves, when printing an image including a pattern formed of plural chromatic colors, reproducibility of the colors of the pattern. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a color setting part 100 that sets a first color with highest frequency of appearance, of respective pixels of image data, as a background color, and a second color with second highest frequency of appearance as a character color. The color setting part 100 sets a full-color specific pattern print mode based on respective frequency of appearance of the first color, the second color, and colors with lower frequency of appearance than that of the second color, and sets pattern colors that are colors for the specific pattern in a color image using the colors with lower frequency of appearance than that of the second color. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
