<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle for efficiently sucking dust from a carpet even in a small-output vacuum cleaner. <P>SOLUTION: A first nozzle 4 is the nozzle where a first projection group 28 constituted by a plurality of first projections 25 and a second projection group 29 constituted by a plurality of second projections 26 are arranged close to the suction port 20 of a nozzle body 18. The front ends of the first projections 25 are formed to be blunter and wider than the front ends of the second projections 26. Besides, the first projection group 28 is arranged on the front side of the suction port 20 in an advance direction D and the second projection group 29 is arranged on the rear side of the suction port 20. Thus, the front ends of the first projections 25 are moved on the front layer of the carpet C, etc., and secure the circulation passage P of an air flow S between each of the first projections 25, thereby to prevent the tight-fitting of the first nozzle 4 to the carpet C. The front ends of the second projections 26 enter among multiple bristles planted in the carpet C, etc., so as to remove dust.
