A display device comprises: a display panel (7) further comprising a screen which displays an image; a blower (500); an ion emitting device (520) which is capable of emitting ions; and a guidance mechanism (620) which is capable of selectively guiding air from the blower (500) to the screen and to the rear face side of the screen. The air which is guided to the screen is guided together with ions that are generated by the ion emitting device (520).
