PURPOSE: An optical device for the dermato-therapy, and a controlling method thereof are provided to apply enough heat energy to the internal skin tissues without causing damages. CONSTITUTION: An optical device for the dermato-therapy includes a main body(10), a hand piece(20), and a cable(30). The main body includes a power supply unit for receiving power from an outer power source. The hand piece is formed into a gripping structure enabling users to easily change the treatment location for the dermato-therapy. The cable connects the hand piece to the main body, and includes an optical fiber, a cooling path, and a signal line. The optical fiber forms an optical path from a light generator to a light radiating device. The cooling path is formed by cooling gas. The signal line is for transferring every paths and signals.
