PURPOSE: A chain guide for a vehicle engine is provided to improve a continued ratio and reduce boundary frictional forces by forming an oil groove and increasing a thickness of an oil film. CONSTITUTION: A chain guide for a vehicle engine is contacted with a chain which connects a cam sprocket to a crank sprocket. A contacting part contacted with a back side of the chain is formed into a longitudinal direction. A cross section of the contacting part is a swollen curve. A plurality of the contacting parts is formed at fixed intervals. On both sides of contacting part, oil grooves for increasing a thickness of a lubricant layer are formed parallel to the chain. On one end of the contacting part, a reentrant groove shape of a oil bowl(148) is formed.
