<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door latch device with strength enhanced by improving a reinforced bead. <P>SOLUTION: When a latch 4 is in an engaging position, an arm part 42 of the latch 4 strides across a striker approaching groove 23, and a tip 421 of the arm part 42 is located above a one-sided bead part 241 of a reinforced bead 24 on a base part 21 at a position overlapped with a stepped portion d of a front end of the one-sided bead part 241.
