<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately test a wear amount of a tire. <P>SOLUTION: A wear test apparatus for tires acquires acceleration and speed data which are measured at predetermined time intervals when a vehicle travels a test course (step 100), calculates a longitudinal force and a lateral force which are generated in the vehicle, on the basis of the acquired acceleration and load (step 102) and calculates a turning radius of the vehicle on the basis of the acquired acceleration and speed in a lateral direction (step 104). On the basis of the turning radius, a distance between tires of front wheels of the vehicle and an inter-axle distance between the front wheels and rear wheels of the vehicle, tire angles of the right and left front wheels of the vehicle are calculated (step 106) and on the basis of the calculated lateral force, an angle difference between the calculated tire angles of the right and left wheels and a predetermined angle difference between the tire angles of the right and left front wheels in the case where the vehicle does not travel, an increment of the lateral force is calculated (step 108). On the basis of wear test data containing the calculated longitudinal force and lateral force and the calculated increment of the lateral force, a wear amount is then tested (step 110). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
