Provided is a production method for a disposable item of clothing that comprises an absorbent body (2) and an outer sheet (3), comprising: a step wherein a continuous sheet with the outer sheet (3), which is expandable/retractable in a waistline direction (Y), is essentially difficult to expand/retract in a conveyance direction (X) perpendicular to the waistline direction (Y), and extends in the conveyance direction, is conveyed in the conveyance direction (X); a step wherein the absorbent body (2) is arranged on top of the continuous sheet with a front section (2f), a crotch section (2c) and a rear section (2b) lined up in the conveyance direction (X); and a step wherein the continuous sheet is cut along an imaginary cutting line that extends in the waistline direction (Y), to provide individual disposable items of clothing with the absorbent body (2) arranged on top of the outer sheet (3). |
