The device (100) has a cooling device (120) in contact with a shield member (110), where the device is provided with a heat pipe and a heat pump. A transportation system is in thermal contact with the shield member. A sprinkler system applies cooling fluid (K) to the shield member. An atomizer system applies the cooling fluid to the shield member. A conveying device supplies the cooling fluid to the cooling device. The shield member is arranged between a heat delivering object (200) and a structure (310, 320) of a sea-suited platform.
