Disclosed is an indoor unit for an air conditioner, which is capable of increasing the reaching distance of conditioned air blown out from an air outlet, while suppressing size increase of the lower surface of the indoor unit and short-circuits. The indoor unit (4) for the air conditioner (1) is provided with an indoor unit casing (31), and an air direction adjusting section (70). The indoor unit casing (31) has an air inlet (35), and long side air outlets (51-54), each of which has the end thereof on the air inlet (35) side bulging toward the air inlet (35) side. The air direction adjusting section (70) covers at least a part of each of the long side air outlets (51-54), and has a shape wherein the end thereof on the air inlet (35) side bulges toward the air inlet (35) side. |
