<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator for solving the problem of the conventional power generators in which generation efficiency depends largely on a distance between a fixed substrate and a movable substrate, too great a distance in between reduces the generation efficiency and makes sufficient power supply difficult, and too small a distance in between brings the fixed and movable substrates into contact with each other and makes it impossible to change relative positions of the substrates, thereby stopping a generating operation itself; and springs have been used to support the movable substrate, but the springs, which degrade with time, have difficulty in maintaining a small distance between the fixed substrate and the movable substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A power generator includes: a first substrate having an electret layer that holds an electric charge; and a second substrate that, in a planar direction, overlaps a side of the electret layer of the first substrate, with a gap in between and that has an electrode provided on a side of the first substrate so as to face the electret layer. The power generator has a spacer that is sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate and is rotatable in a uniaxial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
