<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal joint that has yokes having turning surfaces different in phase at one end and the other end of an intermediate shaft member, is easy in the reduction of size and having superior durability. <P>SOLUTION: In the universal joint 10, the intermediate shaft member 13 is connected between a one-end shaft member 12A and the other end shaft member 12B. The one-end yoke ML and the other end yoke MR are integrally formed at one end and the other end of the intermediate shaft member 13. Roots 16 of the one-end yoke ML and the other end yoke MR are protrusively continued along an outer peripheral surface of a shaft body 15 in the axial direction. When setting one plane perpendicular to a center shaft of the intermediate shaft member 13 as a boundary face HM between the one-end yoke ML and the other yoke MR, the root 16 of the one-end yoke ML extends to the side of the other end yoke MR while exceeding the boundary face HM, and the root 16 of the other end yoke MR extends to the side of the one-end yoke ML while exceeding the boundary face HM. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
