<p>The subject of the invention is a method for recovering radioactive nuclides and/or heavy metals fixed in lignocellulosic masses, notably crusts from filter cartridges, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: the lignocellulosic masses laden with radioactive nuclides and/or heavy metals are placed in a "deep bed" chamber, this raw material is heated to a temperature of at least 450°C in the absence of oxygen, in order to achieve a pyrolysis reaction; the pyrolysis ash containing the radioactive nuclides and/or heavy metals is processed; the gases emanating from the pyrolysis reaction are continuously processed. The invention also covers embodiments of the device.</p> |
