LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE, HEADLIGHT FOR VEHICLE, AND LIGHTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance utilization efficiency of fluorescence in a light-emitting device utilizing fluorescence generated by irradiating excitation light on phosphors as illumination light.

SOLUTION: The device is provided with a laser element 2 emitting laser light, a light-emitting part 4 emitting fluorescence with receipt of the laser light emitted from the laser element 2, and a parabola mirror 5 reflecting the fluorescence generated by the light-emitting part 4. A part of the parabola mirror 5 is arranged above a top face 4a with a wider area than a side face of the light-emitting part 4. Either the light-emitting part 4 is thinner or an area of a spot of the laser light irradiated on the top face 4a of the light-emitting part 4 is smaller than that of the top face 4a. An incident angle of the laser light to the top face 4a of the light-emitting part 4 is set so as to heighten utilization efficiency of fluorescence emitted from the light-emitting part 4.
