POSITIVE ELECTRODE MATERIAL FOR BATTERY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a positive electrode material for a battery high in capacity and capable of achieving rapid charge/discharge; a method for producing the positive electrode material; and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.

SOLUTION: In a calcium ion secondary battery using calcium ions as an ion conductive medium, a composite obtained by compositing manganese oxide having a tunnel structure with a carbon material is used as a composite positive electrode material 11. Thus, a calcium ion secondary battery high in capacity and capable of performing rapid charge/discharge can be achieved.
